About me

I’ve been supporting people with their mental health and emotional well-being since 2011, and in 2014, began working in private counselling practice from home.  I also have experience from working/volunteering at Pregnancy Crisis Care (Plymouth & SE Cornwall) and SALT (South West).

I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, and a Foundation Degree in Counselling (Open University). I’m also a qualified Supervisor. I completed training as an Integrative Counsellor at Heartwood Institute of Counselling & Psychotherapy (www.heartwoodcounselling.org) in Dartington, Devon.  In believing each person to be unique, with differing thoughts, feelings, and responses to life situations, relationships and experiences, within counselling, I offer Gestalt therapy – this considers the whole person – mind, body, spirit and emotion.  In addition, I integrate approaches and methods from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred, Body Process, as well as working with the Inner Child.

I’m able to offer online counselling via telephone or Zoom video calls.  Please contact me for further details.  My practice offers a range of creative counselling resources which can be useful in helping the processing and expression of difficult feelings.  My specific experience includes working with clients facing trauma, loss, bereavement, pregnancy-related crises, and abuse.

I provide sensitive, ethical, professional counselling, psychotherapy and supervision, and as a Registered Accredited Member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere to their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.  A copy can be found at: www.bacp.co.uk.  My BACP Membership No is 714416, and my BACP Registered Accredited no. is: 062864.  I’m also a Professional Accredited Member of the National Counselling Society (NCS) – my membership no. is: NCS20-01107.
