Restoration Counselling offers a safe, confidential space to talk through your concerns with a trained, professional Counsellor. A place to heal, rebuild, restore, and become all you were meant to be.

As an independent Counsellor/Psychotherapist in private practice, I offer short-term Counselling & longer-term, in-depth Psychotherapy for issues including:

Abuse, Anxiety, Bereavement, Depression, Despair, Difficulties after Abortion, Divorce, Grief, Low Self-Confidence, Low Self-Esteem, Loneliness, Loss, Miscarriage, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Pregnancy-related difficulties and loss, Relationship problems, Sadness, Separation, Stillbirth, Stress, Trauma.

I trained at Heartwood Institute of Counselling & Psychotherapy in Dartington as an Integrative Counsellor.

Believing each person to be unique, with differing thoughts, feelings and responses, I offer a model of counselling called Gestalt therapy. This considers the whole person – mind, body, spirit and emotion. I also integrate theories/approaches and methods from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Counselling, Body Process, Transpersonal, IFS, and Inner Child.

My work includes a range of creative counselling resources if desired. I have particular experience of working with trauma, loss and abuse.

As a Person-Centred Supervisor, I also provide Supervision for trainee and qualified Counsellors, as well as other professionals.

Being a Registered and Accredited Member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), I provide ethical, professional counselling, psychotherapy and supervision, and adhere to their Ethical Framework & Good Practice Guidelines. A copy can be found at: www.bacp.co.uk. My BACP Membership No is 714416, and my BACP Registered Accredited no. is: 062864 (Reg MBACP Accred). I am also a Professional Accredited Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), and my Membership No is NCS20-01107 (MNCPS Prof Accred).

I qualified in Person-Centred Supervision in July 2016, and gained Accreditation with the BACP in 2019.

What is the difference between Counselling and Psychotherapy?

Counselling usually refers to shorter-term, more structured work which focusses on helping and supporting clients with common life problems or mental health issues, i.e. depression, anxiety, phobias, or relationship difficulties.

Psychotherapy focuses on working with clients longer-term and draws from insight into emotional problems and difficulties.  It focuses on a deeper awareness of emotional issues and looks at the foundations of issues and problems.

How quickly will you get in touch with me?

I will try to respond to messages and calls within 24 -48 hours. Please check all inboxes, including junk mail, as I have been made aware that sometimes emails get sent there.
